Autism Society of America National Conference & Exposition - Largest event in the U.S. solely dedicated to the field of Autism Spectrum Disorder. Professionals, parents & caregivers within the field expected to attend with 125 exhibiting firms participating. There are over 200 speakers this year and over 110 sessions. They will be covering various content areas including:

Behavior Issues & Support, Communication, Early Intervention, Education, Family & Sibling Support, Medicine & Research, Personal Perspectives, Sensory Processing, Social Skills, Technology, Transition Planning for Adults

This year a special CME Track will also be available for medical professionals on Saturday, July 14. ($100 additional administrative fee for those attending). ANNUAL AUTISM FAMILY PICNIC - open to all autism families, people on the spectrum and friends

WHEN: Sunday May 6th
WHERE: McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park
7301 E. Indian Bend Road (Scottsdale & Indian Bend Roads)
TIME: 12:00 to 4:00 p.m.
LOCATION: Papago Ramada (South End of the Park past the Tunnel)

There will be BOUNCERS for the kids to play in (donated by HOPE Group). The park also has a great playground, train ride, and carousel. Large grass meadows for various games (bring your favorites - frisbee, etc.). This year we have food provided by CARRABBA’S Italian Grill! They will be providing Chicken Marsala, Penne Pomodoro, and Caesar Salad. The Greater Phoenix Chapter ASA will provide the paper products (plates, napkins, utensils), charcoal, hot dogs (including GFCF hotdogs) and condiments.

Families are asked to bring the following:
Last name A-K: side dishes: salads, fruit, vegetables, chips
Last name L-R: Desserts
Last name S-Z: water, juice, soda (cold please)

We need a few volunteers to help with: arrive 1-hour early and start the grills & begin cooking a few cooks for the day clean-up of the Ramadas at 4 pm Please RSVP to Shelly at (480) 940-1093 or shelly@phxautism.org so we can have an accurate head count for food!
