HEAR THE SILENCE Movie Fundraiser — Sat., 7/26

The Greater Phoenix Chapter of the Autism Society of America is proud to present the first ever US screening of Hear the Silence, a British docu-drama that became one of the most-watched television movies in UK history. Please join us for the true story of the public and private aftermath of Dr. Andrew Wakefield’s controversial research.

Juliet Stevenson plays a mother who learns of the possible connection between the MMR vaccine and autism when her four-year-old son is diagnosed with the condition. The film is based on real life stories and features Hugh Bonneville as Dr. Andrew Wakefield, the British gastroenterologist whose research first suggested a link between the MMR vaccination, autism and bowel disease, provoking a backlash from the medical community that may ultimately cost him his medical license.

Tickets include an optional mix and mingle with other patrons after the event. Valet parking is complimentary. Refreshments and raffle tickets are available for purchase.

Tickets: $15.00 each if purchased by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, July 25th. Otherwise $20.00 each.
